COMBAT PISTOL SHOOTS

(MULTIPLE MATCHES MAY BE SHOT)

There will be two courses of fire: A 48 round match (known as the 480 match),and a 60 round match (known as the 600 match).

NRA B-27 TARGETS are used for the 480 and 600 match. Scoring on this target is done by the Lewis Class system and will be done by point ring value.

Hits in the:
X ring -- 10 points per hit (tiebreakers go to X ring count)
10 ring -- 10 points per hit
9 ring -- 9 points per hit
8 ring -- 8 point per hit
7 ring -- 7 point per hit

Center fire calibers only, 32 cal. to and including 45 A.C.P., no 44 Mag barrel, length no longer than 6 inches. No scopes, open sights only. No cross draw, or shoulder holsters, must have three speed loaders or magazines.

COURSE OF FIRE:

480 Match (total of 48 rounds)

(STAGE ONE - 24 rounds)
3 yard line 12 rounds, (six strong hand/ six weak hand with support hand), 35 seconds
7 yard line 12 rounds all-strong hand with use of support hand, 35 seconds
Score targets for stage one.

(STAGE TWO - 24 rounds)
15 yard line 12 rounds all strong hand with use of support hand, 45 seconds
15 yard line 12 rounds kneeling all strong hand with use of support hand, 45 seconds
Score target for final score.



600 Match (total of 60 rounds)

(STAGE ONE - 30 rounds)
3 yard line 12 rounds, (six strong hand / six week hand), one hand only, 35 seconds
7 yard line 12 rounds all-strong hand with use of support hand, 35 seconds
15 yard line 6 rounds strong hand with use of support hand, 12 seconds
Score targets for stage one.

(STAGE TWO - 30 rounds)
15 yard line 12 rounds strong hand with use of support hand, 35 seconds
25 yard line 18 rounds, (six rounds left hand barricade with left hand, six rounds right hand barricade with right hand, six rounds strong side kneeling, no support), 90 seconds
Score targets for stage two, combine stage one and stage two scores for final score.

The Club Championship
To win the Club Championship Award you must shoot at least 3 of the 7 matches that are held for the season.

The winner will be determined by adding each shooters best scores from any 3 matches shot during the season. An aggregate is calculated after each match for each shooter will be posted on the website as soon as possible after each match. An aggregate is the total score combination from shooting a 480 and a 600 and total X count.

 

MATCH SAFETY RULES
1. Firearms may be handled at the safe handling area for dry firing, adjusting, lubricating, showing, holstering, cleaning, etc.
2. Eye and ear protection is strongly recommended.
3. During the course of fire only those shooting that relay and Range Safety Officers will be on the range.
4. If you have a question or a problem raise your hand, stand facing down range and wait for a Range Safety Officer to assist you.
5. After each segment, an empty & safe firearm will be holstered on command by the person calling the line or the Range Safety Officer.
6. Wait for the command to access your equipment from the ground.
7. If you are not shooting the course of fire your firearm should be kept holstered.
8. Obey all range commands; they are for your safety.

FOUR IMPORTANT RULES OF SAFE FIREARMS HANDLING.
1. Always keep the firearm pointed in a safe direction.
2. Always keep your finger off the trigger until ready to shoot.
3. Always keep the firearm unloaded until ready to use.
4. Always know your target and what is beyond.
